Seeking ADHD Adults

Adults with ADHD can help understand a new treatment approach that does not involve medication. This study will investigate sleep and attention via a treatment device used 1 hour/day for 5 weeks.

Seeking Adults with ADHD

If you are an adult who has been diagnosed with ADHD, your input will help understand a new treatment approach that does not involve medication. This study will investigate sleep and attention.

You will be asked to visit Skerrett Psychology Office in Fort Erie or Beamsville to complete a short computer-based measure of attention and answer some questions regarding your sleep quality.

A treatment device will be provided for you to use for one hour each day, for five weeks. The devices are easy-to-use, by attaching clips to your earlobes while you complete regular household activities. The device produces a very small amount of electricity in a special waveform; you cannot feel it. You will need to maintain a daily log to keep track of the timing of each treatment and your sleep hours. Please complete your treatments around the same time each day if possible.

It is okay if you already take prescription medication, you do not need to stop.

If you have been diagnosed with depression, you must be under clinical care.

You cannot participate if:

  • You are pregnant, breastfeeding, or might become pregnant during participation.
  • Are a current or former patient of Skerrett Psychology.
  • Have an implanted cardiac device.
